Obscured Flow

Size: 50x40cm with 5cm white border

Obscured Flow print is part of a body of work created while on an art residency in Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Co. Kerry off the west coast of Ireland. The residency is situated in an old famine village and what were originally huts are now studio cottages that look out across the Atlantic ocean.

This print of Obscured Flow has large gestural brush marks mixed with linear oil bar paint marks reflecting the movement of the sea observed each day from my studio and the stillness of the rocks or Skelligs (Gaelic for sharp, steep rocks) native to the area. A cocktail of structure and chaos! Pops of red, orange and white oil pastels mimic the craggy shapes of stone walls which surrounded my studio cottage.

This print is made with pigment ink on edition etching paper (310g) with a 5cm border.  It is produced using high-quality, professionally photographed images of the original painting. Once ordered each print is signed & carefully packaged before registered shipping. Framing options are available, please enquire.
