Description
Citified was inspired by and created after an artist residency award in Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Co. Kerry off the west coast of Ireland. Clear, structured shapes are set against gestural brush marks reflective of working between a rural setting, the art residency and an urban setting, my studio in London during this time. Blue is a constant on my painting palette and here I’ve used various tones of blue to compliment a bright yellow backdrop with pops of red in between. There are about ten layers of paint on this painting and using charcoal I have carved back through some of these layers to create a sense of form and depth.
This print is made with pigment ink on edition etching paper (310g) with a 5cm border. It is produced using high-quality, professionally photographed images of the original painting. Once ordered each print is signed and dated then carefully packaged and boxed before registered shipping. Framing options are available, please enquire.
