Jan 2019: Elevate: An Exhibition at The Shard, London

Aisling Drennan, abstract artists exhibition at the shard

I’m beyond excited to share that I’ll be exhibiting my work at the upcoming Elevate exhibition at the iconic The Shard in London. It’s a dream venue for any artist, with its sweeping panoramic city views and reputation for hosting incredible events.

But what makes this opportunity even more special is that Elevate isn’t just any art exhibition—it’s a platform that merges creativity with purpose, giving contemporary artists like me the chance to bring vibrant energy to a corporate environment.

Elevate is a regular feature at Duff & Phelps (now known as Kroll), nestled in the heart of The Shard. Supported by their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, this initiative is more than just filling walls with art—it’s about enriching office spaces with thought-provoking, dynamic works that inspire those who work there.

The exhibition is organized by ArtCan, a non-profit organization that empowers contemporary artists by providing them with exhibition opportunities and a supportive community. Through ArtCan’s incredible network and vision, artists like me can present our work in spaces that might otherwise be out of reach.

A Platform That Elevates Artists

Being part of Elevate means so much more than having my art on display—it’s about connecting with an audience beyond traditional gallery settings. Offices like Duff & Phelps’ aren’t just workspaces; they’re hubs of innovation and decision-making. Having contemporary art integrated into these environments introduces moments of reflection, creativity, and conversation for those who pass by. Knowing that my work will be part of that daily rhythm is incredibly rewarding.

The Power of Art in Unexpected Spaces

What I love about the Elevate exhibition is how it challenges the notion that art belongs only in museums or galleries. Bringing contemporary art into corporate spaces shifts perspectives and fosters a deeper appreciation for creativity in everyday life. It’s an approach that resonates deeply with me, as I’ve always believed that art has the power to transform environments and spark dialogue.

The Artisan Touch

This exhibition is masterfully organized by Artisan, ensuring that every element, from curation to installation, is handled with precision and care. Their expertise in crafting exhibitions that balance aesthetics with meaning is evident in the way Elevate comes together. I’m very happy to be part of this process and to contribute to an exhibition that not only showcases talent but also adds vibrancy to corporate settings, would you agree?

Looking Ahead

As I prepare for this show, I’m filled with a sense of anticipation and gratitude. Being part of Elevate at The Shard is more than just an exhibition—it’s a chance to share my perspective with a new audience and engage with a community that values the impact of art in unconventional spaces.

If you find yourself near The Shard, I’d love for you to experience Elevate firsthand. Trust me—there’s something magical about seeing contemporary art against the stunning backdrop of London’s skyline.

Thanks for reading, Aisling
